A changing table primarily needs a sufficiently large changing surface, at a comfortable height to change the baby safely and comfortably. A generous changing surface allows you to have all the necessary utensils within reach. It is important that young parents can maintain an ergonomic position while constantly changing their child. A changing height that is too low or too high can lead to back and neck pain and make the changing process more difficult. Caution: Never leave your baby unattended on the changing pad; they could fall off.

Babies need a variety of care products, clothing and other utensils, which should be stored in the immediate vicinity of the changing area. Changing mats are comfortable and safe surfaces for changing diapers. Tip: Choose a changing mat that is easy to clean! Because much more happens on the changing mat than just diaper changes: your baby is dressed and undressed here, cared for after a bath, and of course, their diapers are changed - much more than just bath water gets on the mat :). Therefore, the changing mat must be easy to clean. For changing mats with covers, spare covers should always be available so they can be changed quickly. However, there are also changing mats with a water-repellent surface that can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. In addition, the changing mat should be soft, cozy, and made of harmless material.

A well-organized changing table is a great relief for new parents. Practical storage solutions for the changing table mean you have everything at hand: wet wipe dispenser, tissue box, baskets with diapers, possibly a small sealable box for cotton pads, and a water bowl. As your baby becomes more mobile, nothing on the changing table is safe anymore. Tip: silicone bowls don't break when dropped on the floor, making them wonderful as water bowls for washing.
